Our Mission

FACT:

No young person with a chronic illness, disability, and mental health struggles should “wait for a cure or recovery” to thrive in their life. That’s why InvisiYouth provides these resources and programs to give life advice designed to improve tomorrows.

Rebel Game-Changer Mottos from InvisiYouth Charity

  • You are always invincible, never invisible.
  • Success and joy, and chronic illness and disability are NOT mutually exclusive.
  • Advocacy doesn’t always need to be loud for public and personal causes. InvisiYouth’s a firm believer is ‘subtle activism’  that sparks curiosity and opens minds to create that positive change.

Note From Our Founder

“Starting a nonprofit when you’re only 22 years old means that the passion has to come from somewhere. For me, it all stemmed from having my own complex chronic illness journey through my teen and young adult years. I wanted advice I could use on my own terms and adapt to my specific life and health. I wanted to know that other young people like me existed and deserved fair representation. And I knew that I wasn’t the only young person that wanted to make those non-medical aspects of their life easier…you know, the topics you don’t get to talk about in your doctor appointments. This need to LIVE life while you have a chronic illness/disability and not wait for improvements to do so is inherent in so many young people finding their voice and purpose. It’s the mentality that became my inception for InvisiYouth Charity when I created and launched the organization. I often say that everything InvisiYouth provides for free is such common sense, no one’s taken the time to provide it, and that’s why we’re here. When you think “how do I handle/adapt to this?” We want one of InvisiYouth’s teachings, glossary terms, activism campaigns or podcast episodes to come to mind. You deserve to live the most empowered, fulfilled, joyful, serene, and–quite frankly–badass life out there, with all the adaptations you want and need. I hope you join InvisiYouth’s community, utilize our resources and platform and adjust it to the way you live, and shine in your own unique way.”
